Dan-coman

Dan Coman (b. 27 July 1975, Gersa, Bistrița-Năsăud) is a contemporary Romanian writer associated with the 2000's generation and the Bistritza School.

His first poems were published in the magazine Minerva in 1993. Alongside Marin Mălaicu-Hondrari and Florin Partene, he is present in the collective volume Camera (1995). He later published poems in the most important literary revues in Romania. His first book, Anul cârtiței galbene, won the National Poetry Prize Mihai Eminescu Opera Prima and the debut award of Romanian Writers' Union. He is the coauthor of the anthology Compania poeților tineri în 100 de titluri alese de Dan Coman și Petru Romoșan (Compania Publshing House, 2011). He won in 2010 a grant from Akademie Schloss Solitude.
