Mircea Horia Simionescu (b. 23 January 1928, Târgovişte, d. 18 May 2011, Bucharest) was a Romanian novelist, short story writer, essayist and poet associated with the Târgovişte School. He is considered one of the forerunners of Romanian postmodernism.
