Dan Laurențiu (pen name of  Laurenţiu Ciobanu; b. 10 August 1937, Podu Iloaiei, Iaşi - 22 December 1998, Bucharest) was a Romanian poet and essayist. His first poems were published in 1959 in the magazine Iașul literar. His first volume, Poziția aștrilor (1967), was highly acclaimed and had cult following among young poets at the time. He was an editor at Cronica (1966-1968) and Luceafărul (1968-1993). He also worked at Cartea Românească. Several anthologies (including one published in the prestigious collection Biblioteca pentru toți) were published in his last years of life and afterwards. Marin Mincu published in 2000 the last poems Laurențiu has written, in the volume Patul metafizic.
