George Alboiu (b. 6 July 1944 in Roseți, Ialomiţa) is a Romanian poet associated with the 1960's generation. Alboiu studied literature at the University of Bucharest between 1963 and 1967. His first poem, Luceafărul, was published in 1964. His first published work was released in 1968: Câmpia eternă ("The Eternal Field"). The motif of the "eternal field" is recurrent in most of Alboiu's volumes. His last few volumes were noted by Marin Mincu for their textualist elements. He edited an anthology of contemporary poetry entitled Antologia poeților tineri.
