Octavian Soviany (b. 23 April 1954, Brașov) is a contemporary Romanian poet, novelist, playwright and literary critic. Two of his recent books include the novel Viața lui Kostas Venetis (The Life of Kostas Venetis, 2011) and the two-volume book Cinci decenii de experimentalism. Compendiu de poezie românească actuală (Five Decades of Experimentalism. Recent Romanian Poetry Compendium, 2011).
